Current status: Pretty much dropped. I do still play L elsewhere, though, so I'll be happy to tag with this one on request. As far as what happened to him, I assume that he and [ profile] misamisal were able to return to his world and live out some form of the life they wanted together. That's about as happy an ending as this particular character can hope for.

This was a roleplay journal for [ profile] dndressingroom, with a bit of character development info here and there. If you add this journal as a friend, but I don't know you personally, you probably won't be added back. (Also, I probably won't add you if you're underage; it doesn't mean I don't like you. The only real reason to add this journal is because you want to read the friends-locked adult threads on it.)

If you want to see my Death Note fandom journal, please pop over to [ profile] eru_dition and I will probably be happy to add you back. There are apps for other games there, as well as fanfic, recommendations, etc. Most of the posts on this journal that aren't RP will probably migrate over there in time.

Note: I've cleared out this journal's friends list a lot recently. If you would rather I re-added your journal, please let me know! I'll probably be happy to.

Is it a new meme? I don't know. I didn't make it up, but I didn't find it anywhere, either.

Come up with 50 (or more) adjectives to describe your character, and list them in alphabetical order. The Free Dictionary is an excellent site that may help you avoid exact synonyms.

Not only paranoid, manipulative, and watchful, but also... )

Explanation: I don't usually read RPS, but apparently a secret about someone taking this test over and over was up in the last few days, so everyone I know is taking this thing. I took it for L here twice (the second time to fix a hasty misclick), and got the same result each time... Read more... )

I thought this one might be more accurate (it would definitely have been the most accurate prior to his relationship with Misa)... Read more... )

Anyway, it's interesting that what a person may be like in an overall sense may not be what they're like in romantic interactions. This one seems accurate for both L and Light, but is not really accurate for either of them when it comes down to what their "seduction style" might be: Read more... )

I've come across a few interesting character creation sheets, for both RP and fiction writing (which have a lot of overlap). Since I seem to be sharing the links with others a lot via AIM this week, I thought I would just make a post of links to the ones I found interesting.

If you're making an app or doing these as a meme, it's possible that not every question will be relevant to your character, but they're worth thinking about.

The Character Questionnaire: 384 character development questions from Roleplaying Tips Weekly

Character Questionnaire: Attributes and background, but also some reactions and moral dilemmas to consider. Originally from Independent Film and Video Chicago; that site is gone now, so I've dug it up out of the Internet Archive and posted it over at [ profile] eru_dition.

Character Sheet: Originally from; that site has vanished, so I've typed up my print-out. Similar to the one at IFV Chicago, but with less emphasis on "What if"-type questions

Blank Character Sheet: at Scribd, this one is my favorite, because the questions aren't too out-there, answering them will genuinely help you, and it's formatted to be downloadable and printable so you can fill it out in your spare time.

A Blank Character Sheet for Anyone: from Total RP, not as many categories as some of the others, but also not as many specific questions. (Might be good for making the kind of profile you put on your character's LJ profile page.)

[[Actually posted September 8, 2008 -- just wanted it off of my front page.]]

[[I won't be around much today at all to work on threads, because it's my birthday! and I'm REALLY OLD, but that's OK, because someone totally bought me the not-bootleg L Nendoroid. *wink*]]

I've never actually taken a DN character test before.

What Death Note Character Are You?
What Death Note Character Are You?
Hosted By Anime and Fandom

So I guess I chose the right character.

Edited to add: I took another one, supposedly more "accurate," and now I'm a little spooked. (I mean, it's flattering, but.)

Your Score: INTP

You scored 80% introversion, 71% intuition, 64% thinking, and 42% judging!

This personality test is heavily based on the Kiersey Sorter. In essence, it measures your personality across four variables: Introversion-Extraversion, Intuition-Sensing, Thinking-Feeling and Judging-Percieving. There are both positive and negative attributes to each of the traits.

Introversion-Extraversion: Generally, people who score high on "introversion" are reserved, quiet people who keep to themselves whereas people who score low on "introversion" are outgoing, friendly people who are extraverts.
Intuition-Sensing: People who score high on "intuition" are guided by gut instinct, they go on intuition as opposed to people who score low on this trait, who prefer to rely on established fact and their senses, rather than their own belief.
Thinking-Feeling: People with high scores on "thinking" rely more on their head to make decisions, whereas people who score low on "thinking" rely more on their heart to guide them. (Note: this has no bearing on a person's intelligence level; it merely refers to the way in which they make desicions.)
Judging-Percieving: People who score high "judging" are firm, decisisive people, whereas people who score low on this trait are flexible, accomodating people.

Stats: Approximately 4% of population.
DN characters with this type: L.
In a nutshell: "A love of problem-solving."

Desciption: Logical, original, creative thinkers. Can become very excited about theories and ideas. Exceptionally capable and driven to turn theories into clear understandings. Highly value knowledge, competence and logic. Quiet and reserved, hard to get to know well. Individualistic, having no interest in leading or following others.

The category write-ups displayed here are not entirely my own; some of this info has been taken from and some from, both of which are excellent sources of information about personality types. The test questions came in part from Please Understand Me II, another excellent source of information about personality types. Finally, if you'd like an incredibly detailed essay on your personality type, try who have a serious level of detail for anyone wanting to know more about this subject.

The Deathnote pics were made by me using scans by TOWNL and from Thanks to LateNiteSlacker and Uchiha_Shadow for helping me categorize the various characters.

Want see who else you might have been, or what types the other DN characters are? For your own personal information...

Light Yagami | L | Near | Mello | Misa Misa | Ryuk | Rem | Raye Penber | Soichiro Yagami | Matsuda | Mogi | Aizawa | Ide | Naomi Misora | Rester | Hal Lidner | Mat | Watari | Sayu Yagami | Kyomi Takada | Teru Mikami

And typewise:

Thanks for taking my test, I hope you enjoyed!
