-- Yes, I remember, it was difficult to say -- and I am out of the habit now. I didn't know if it was something I should tell you, or if saying it had any meaning. My personal feelings on a given matter are not often important.
Sometimes. In other cases, just -- the wiser course. Choosing patience over impulse, even if it means that people die; watching when I would prefer to be acting.
*He sighs.*
It rankles to know that the killer of those twelve FBI agents -- and Misora, too -- will probably never pay for their deaths. They came to Japan at my request; they all trusted me.
::Gently, she caresses his face:: I know. But, given the circumstances, I think they would have understood. Besides, that wasn't your fault. And though I wish someone could be held accountable for their deaths, I know Light was not himself when that happened. The worst thing for the world would be for him to get his memories back, so we couldn't even put the real Kira behind bars. ::She sighs:: If only there was some way to put Ryuk on trial.
I don't know what Light's father will do. If there is ever any more Kira-type activity, I suspect he may kill him. At that point, though, it would probably be too late for me -- you would be safe, at least.
Ryuk and Rem are something a little outside of our comprehension, Misa.
I can't see Light's Father killing him. I think he would simply be very disappointed. Besides, if his father found out, I don't think he would have time to kill Light - Light would kill him before he had the chance to act.
::She chuckles softly:: That's for sure. If only they were all like Rem and Gelus. But, they're a lot like people in that aspect. They're all different.
::she can feel her eyelids getting heavier. It's been a while since she's slept, and this is so comfortable, and he's so warm...::
That's possible. I hope he wouldn't do that, for his wife and daughters sake. They love him so much. Light does, too, when he's himself.
::Smiling softly, seeming embaressed, she looks up at him through her thick lashes::
I'm sorry. It's just, I haven't had a good nights sleep since before you left, and my body isn't used to it yet. And, you're so warm, and the bed is so comfortable...it's hard to resist.
If Soichiro didn't kill Light, it's likely that Rem would. She is anxious to keep Misa out of further trouble. She was prepared to kill me to save her, and she knows now that Light has no serious romantic interest in her.
*The charm of the way she looks at him through her lashes makes him feel impulsive; he gives her a whisper of a kiss.*
::She smiles softly, trying her best to fight the sleep, but it's obvious she likely won't be able to so as she yawns deeply:: I want to stay awake with you
::she returns his embrace, smiles and nods, then closes her eyes:: That sounds good...maybe I'll just rest them more a minute...I know I'll probably fall asleep, but...I can't help it right now...
::she's slipping under fast - it's been over a day since she last slept and it wasn't much of a sleep at that. With her last bit of strength, she finds his hand, threading her fingers through his:: If I don't feel you hand, I'll wake up...if you're not here...I don't know what I'll do. Probably start searching again...
*He clings to her, and whispers -- in case she hears it in her sleep -- *
Wake me up, then.
*Holding her while she sleeps brings a certain amount of comfort to him, comfort that he is aware he derives from the chemicals that the closeness releases in his brain. He watches her: the curve of her lips, her breath, the half-moons of her eyelashes.*
*To some extent, the feeling he had the last time he came to the mansion has returned -- he has been pulled away from his work, his progress is being undone, his impression that he can put Kira behind him has been proved false. This time, though, he leaves behind no pressing case, no serious hanging threads. He hopes that Watari will be aware of his most likely destination.*

Sometimes I have to ignore them and do what I know is necessary.
